2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee : A New Era of Factory-Built Muscle Trucks
Ram has announced an all-new high-performance pickup launching from late 2026: The 2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee range, combining classic American V8 muscle with everyday truck capability.
At the top of the line-up sits the Rumble Bee SRT, powered by a supercharged 6.2-litre HEMI® V8 producing an amazing 777 horsepower. With a top speed of around 170 mph, a 0-60 mph sprint of just 3.4 seconds and quarter-mile performance in the 11-second range, it will be one of the fastest production pickups ever built.
Developed by the SRT performance team, the Rumble Bee SRT takes inspiration from the brand’s renewed involvement in NASCAR, delivering track-focused handling, powerful braking and exceptional straight-line performance in a full-size pickup package.
The range is designed for enthusiasts who appreciate American muscle cars but require the practicality and versatility of a pickup truck. For the first time, Ram will also offer the renowned 6.4-litre (392 cubic inch) HEMI V8 in the Ram 1500 platform, expanding the performance credentials of the model range.
Despite its sporting focus, the Rumble Bee remains a capable workhorse, with towing capacity of 3,500kg for the UK
The flagship SRT model rides on enormous 22-inch wheels wrapped in 325-section tyres, creating the widest factory wheel-and-tyre package ever fitted to a Stellantis production vehicle since the iconic Dodge Viper.
All Rumble Bee models feature a unique Quad Cab short-bed configuration, reducing wheelbase by approximately 13 inches compared with other Ram 1500 variants. The result is a more compact, aggressive stance and improved handling characteristics.
Measuring 88 inches wide and over 219 inches in length, the Rumble Bee’s muscular proportions provide a distinctive appearance, with each trim level receiving its own performance-focused styling enhancements.
Performance-oriented driver controls are standard throughout the range, including a flat-bottom steering wheel, centre console gear selector and steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters.
The Rumble Bee family will consist of four models:
- Rumble Bee – 395 hp
- Rumble Bee 392 – 470 hp
- Rumble Bee 392 Track Pack – additional performance upgrades
- Rumble Bee SRT – 777 hp
The standard Rumble Bee, powered by the 5.7-litre HEMI V8, is expected to arrive in late 2026, while the more powerful 392 and SRT variants are scheduled to follow during the first half of 2027.

2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee: Powertrains, Chassis and Performance
The 2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee range has been engineered to blend traditional American V8 performance with the practicality expected from a modern full-size pickup.
The entry-level Rumble Bee is powered by Ram’s 5.7-litre HEMI V8, producing 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque. Featuring variable valve timing, cylinder deactivation technology and an eight-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission, the combination is designed to deliver strong performance while retaining everyday usability. Power is sent through a full-time four-wheel-drive system, although drivers can select a dedicated rear-wheel-drive mode for a more traditional muscle-car experience.
For enthusiasts seeking additional performance, Ram is introducing the 6.4-litre “392” HEMI V8 to the Ram 1500 platform for the first time. Producing 470 horsepower and 455 lb-ft of torque, the naturally aspirated engine provides a significant step up in both output and character. The 392 Track Pack model adds performance-oriented chassis upgrades, including an electronically controlled locking rear differential designed to maximise traction during hard acceleration.
Sitting at the top of the range is the Rumble Bee SRT, powered by the supercharged 6.2-litre Hellcat V8. With 777 horsepower and 680 lb-ft of torque, it becomes the most powerful factory-produced internal-combustion pickup truck ever offered by the company. A heavy-duty version of the eight-speed automatic transmission, revised cooling systems and specialised driveline components have been developed to handle the enormous power output.
Performance figures are equally impressive. Ram targets 0-60 mph in approximately 6.1 seconds for the standard Rumble Bee, 5.2 seconds for the Rumble Bee 392 and just 3.4 seconds for the flagship SRT. Quarter-mile times range from 14.6 seconds in the base model to an astonishing 11.6 seconds in the supercharged SRT.
Chassis and Suspension
One of the key engineering goals was to create a pickup that behaves more like a performance car than a traditional truck. To achieve this, Ram shortened the wheelbase by approximately 13 inches, creating an exclusive Quad Cab short-bed configuration and significantly increasing chassis rigidity.
The standard Rumble Bee and Rumble Bee 392 feature widened suspension geometry, larger stabiliser bars and specially tuned Bilstein performance dampers. Wider front and rear tracks contribute to greater stability, sharper turn-in and a more aggressive stance.
The Track Pack and SRT models receive Ram’s four-corner air suspension as standard, combined with adaptive Bilstein Damptronic dampers. Multiple drive modes allow drivers to tailor steering, suspension, throttle response and stability control settings for road, towing or track use.
Braking and Driver Technology
Brake performance has been developed to match the truck’s considerable power. Higher-performance models receive massive Brembo six-piston front calipers and 410 mm front brake discs, providing the stopping capability required for repeated high-speed driving.
Launch control, dedicated track modes, selectable rear-wheel-drive operation and electronically controlled differential functions further reinforce the Rumble Bee’s performance credentials. Drivers can choose from a variety of configurable drive modes including Auto, Sport, Track, Snow, Tow and Custom settings.
Aerodynamics
Unlike conventional pickups that prioritise low drag, the Rumble Bee 392 Track Pack and SRT place greater emphasis on cooling, stability and downforce. Functional front splitters, underbody aero panels, brake-cooling ducts and a large rear spoiler all contribute to improved high-speed stability.
According to Ram, these aerodynamic enhancements generate meaningful downforce at speed while helping manage airflow to critical systems such as the engine, transmission and braking components. An optional hard tonneau cover further improves aerodynamic efficiency and rear-end stability.

From the 395-horsepower HEMI-powered entry model to the 777-horsepower supercharged SRT flagship, the Rumble Bee line-up represents Ram’s most ambitious performance pickup programme to date.
